COLIN GODWIN TO CONTINUE THROUGH 2022


CAREY Theological College on the Campus of the University of British Columbia, announced today that Dr. Colin Godwin has extended his term as President through 2022

The Chair of CAREY’s board of Administration Mr. Adam Anderson writes, “The Carey Hall Board of Administration is thrilled to announce that our current President, Rev. Dr. Colin Godwin, has accepted a 5-year contract extension. During his leadership over the past 5 years, Dr. Godwin has been instrumental in the stability and growth of Carey Theological College. Today, CAREY is positioned to better fulfill its mission to empower faithful Christian leaders for every generation, culture, and community. Dr. Godwin has built an effective management team, increased fundraising efforts, developed a forward-thinking strategic plan, and positioned CAREY to grow.”

Commenting on his contract extension, Dr. Godwin said, “I am grateful to the Board of Administration and to my colleagues for their support and their confidence in me. I remain in awe of the Lord’s work in and through CAREY as we expect great things from God and attempt great things for Him.”

Dr. Godwin is passionate about sharing the gospel and living a life of authentic discipleship. He has experience as a pastor in Canada, a church planter in Belgium, and a missionary in Africa. Prior to accepting his current position, Colin served as a missionary with Canadian Baptist Ministries as the African Team Leader, providing direction for strategic planning, managing staff and connecting with CBM’s partners in Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Angola, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He and his wife, Karen, have two sons, two daughters, and one daughter-in-law. “
