CAREY BUILDING CAMPAIGN 2020

In October 2018, Carey Theological College launched a $15.5M capital campaign to build a new 5-storey building on our Vancouver campus at the University of British Columbia (UBC). A lead donor agreed to match the first 3 million dollars and we are proud to announce through the generous support of our donors, we have reached the first million dollar target, bringing the total funds raised so far to $2 million dollars.

The impact of the new building will be twofold;

  1. Housing and discipling up to 85 UBC students in our Christian residence at UBC, and,
  2. Expanding our infrastructure and funding to deliver global theological education in Canada and around the world.

Carey is committed to the responsible stewardship of all our resources and we are happy to announce that we are now a certified charity with the Canadian Council of Christian Charities (CCCC). This means that we have met CCCC's standards of accountability in areas of: Christian Ministry, Diligence Governance, Financial Oversight and Transparency, Organizational Integrity and Ethical Fundraising.

“In Proverbs 3:22, we are reminded that ‘a good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.’ I am humbled that together with our many supporters, we are building a legacy for the generations that will come,” says Rev. Dr. Colin Godwin, President of Carey Theological College.
