Course Description
An introduction to the basic features of Hebrew grammar, morphology, vocabulary, and pronunciation as aids for engaging the biblical text and understanding its possible meaning(s). Students will gain the ability to read and translate simple Hebrew sentences from the Old Testament. They will also gain facility with a variety of resources that can enhance study of the scripture in its original language, including critical editions, lexicons, grammars, and bible software.
